Office of Broadband Initiatives

Broadband is the future of New Hampshire. The effect of a reliable, high-speed, and future-proof internet will profoundly impact many aspects of economic, social, academic, legal, and medical life across the state.

To assure every New Hampshire community is connected to this resource and every citizen has both the access and literacy to take advantage of it is critical to the state’s success.

The Department of Business and Economic Affairs (BEA) is developing a program that best reflects the intent of the Legislature and the needs of the state’s unserved and underserved broadband population, working in collaboration with municipalities, communication districts, and internet service providers (ISPs) to address these gaps and enhance the economic development.
