College Graduate Incentive Program

Tomorrow’s workforce is preparing to graduate from New Hampshire colleges and universities today. Manufacturers and companies seeking to hire, and retain, these graduates are invited to participate in the New Hampshire College Graduate Incentive Program (GRIP).

GRIP, created by an act of the Legislature in 2019 (RSA 12-O:46), helps employers strengthen their recruitment of candidates well-qualified to meet the demand of their industries, while encouraging students to stay in New Hampshire as they begin their careers.

To participate in the program, employers agree to provide eligible students an annual incentive of at least $1,000 for each the first four years of their employment, in an agreement with the Department of Business and Economic Affairs (BEA).

Participation is easy. The company compiles a list of positions that qualify for the GRIP incentive and posts it on their website, as well as any web-based employment search site it uses for workforce recruitment.

BEA and its partners, the New Hampshire College and University Council; New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Fund; New Hampshire Coalition for Business and Education, and Stay, Work, Play NH, will inform and educate employers, colleges and universities, and their students about the program; market the program via www.choosenh.com and other digital media, and maintain a list of participating employers.

World-class companies demand a robust and educated workforce. Combined with its exceptional quality of life and limitless opportunity, New Hampshire is the place where students can attain their highest goals for life and living.
